Barn Cat Program Coming May 1, 2026

We have several "independent-minded" cats who have decided the indoor life isn't for them. These cats need a job, a safe territory, and a boss who appreciates their work ethic. We have them listed here so you know who is part of our Barn Cat Program at The Animal Shelter Society, we believe every feline deserves a path to success. Our Barn Cat Program places healthy, spayed/neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated cats into safe, outdoor working environments.

The Job Requirements:

We are looking for property owners with a barn, shop, or outbuilding who can provide:
• A "homebase"- A secure area (like a large kennel or tack room) where they can say for 2-4 weeks to acclimate to the sounds of your farm
• Daily rations- Reliable food and water. It is a myth that a cat will not hunt if they are fed. They deserve their paychecks for their patrol services Shelter A dry, safe place to sleep and escape the predators and elements.
